I’ve finally uploaded another video! This time, I’m talking a bit more about historical templates in worldbuilding, as I felt there was a lot more to say on that subject. You can watch it by clicking here… and if you would leave a like while you’re at it, that would make me super happy!
Building a world is really hard work. Despite being finished with the first draft of my novel, I haven’t finished the worldbuilding aspect of it. Of course, a lot of the information won’t be in the actual book – it’s more to act as a general backdrop for the setting of the story – but I feel that you can tell whether an author has done a poor worldbuilding job. It becomes clear when there’s an obvious lack of depth in the different settings.
As an aspiring author, I’m of course terrified that this is going to happen to me.
I know, I know. There’s usually nothing to worry about as long as you put in the work. But I can’t help but wonder if I’m just talking out of my derrière when I claim to know anything about worldbuilding (I have made three Youtube videos on it after all).
Let’s leave that subject before it gets too dark.
On a different note, I will be going away again for a couple of days, and I have a feeling I’m going to return with lots of inspiring photos, so stay tuned for that!
